Personal Log - Unscheduled Excursion

Let's start a little further back... it's been a long, day... or two or three.

Friday. Got up a bit earlier than a normally do. 12:00pm. Did three loads of laundry and then it was time for work... I don't even remember how that went... I just remember it looked mostly like crap because Thursday got borked. I really didn't do much to fix it then... I just did other stuff like usual.

Through-out Friday there were a few things that slammed against my mental shields. But nothing too substantial, yet. However when I got home and started talking to a couple people some more random comments came up that hit a few sensitive cords and my shields had, had it. I was toast. The shields collapsed. I had a seriously depressed mental breakdown episode.

Going into Saturday, not feeling much better, I more or less stayed in bed until it was time for work. I've been doing this a lot lately... partly because I don't go to bed until around 7am and partly because I lack motivation to do... anything, right now.

Now Saturday night on the other hand, I really tried to fix things at work. Made everything as nice as could be for the Sunday rush. Got home, no one really online... not much of a surprise. Not that I really was in the mood to talk. It's 1am. I went downstairs to use my uncles computer while he was asleep to make a trailer for SG-1 Season 4. I've recently got a Co-worker  into Stargate and he's on S4 now. So I stayed up all night again, until my uncle woke up at 6:38am working on my trailer. I didn't get to finish it since he wanted his computer.

Sunday

Went to bed at 7am, woke up at 11:43am. Supposed to be at work at 12:00pm. Grabbed my stuff and bolted. Clocked in at 12:07pm. Just in time before I would need an override for being late. Just made it by the skin of my teeth. Another... wonderful busy Sunday. Had some annoyingness from Co-worker(s) and a couple PIA cranky customers. But also some good came out of it, one Customer is going to say nice things about me to my boss, which hopefully will get me one step closer to get him to stop trying to teach me how to do my job that I already know how to do...

Meanwhile, on break, voicemail. Zach and Heather have invited me to hang out after work.
Immediately following work, we went to a local park, called Field of Dreams. We hung out there for about half an hour before returning to Heather's house. Hung out with people. Talked, ate. Then everyone went to bed, around 10:30pm me and Zach leave to go trashpicking in Pitman, we found nothing of value, no old computers, nothing. Disappointing.

I wanted to get some soda, so he decided we should go check out the new Wal-Mart that just opened.  Place is huge. I mean, seriously, huge. It looks bigger on the inside than it is on the outside. I felt small being in there. The ceiling is high, the aisles are almost as wide as a side-street. You could easily fit two cars wide in a good amount of the aisles. The area around the registers is so wide open, they are so far apart it's crazy. We were in there like 30 minutes and we still only saw 2/3 of the store.

We both got soda and Zach bought a small pack of Pokemon cards. He got a reverse holo Mudkip, which is now in my possession for Internet Meme win.

And thus, my current status. Zach is asleep, I have everything I need to survive off-world except something to charge my cell phone. All this crap, and I nor anyone else has a mirco usb cable. So my battery is critical and I won't be able to recharge it until tomorrow night, like 8:30pm-ish after I get home from work.

Right now Zach is making me realize the true potential and value of having a car. The average person, just uses a car to travel around. But Zach has a stockpile of a wide variety of things to survive out of his car. Extra clothes, usually some soda, digital and electronical forms of
entertainment.

I'm limited to what I can carry in my messenger bag. My bag of holding, from ThinkGeek to be exact. Granted it's usually enough to get me by in most situations. But if I had a car, more specifically a station wagon like he does, I can just imagine the possibilities. Prepared for any scenario at the drop of the hat, on the go. I would love that. This makes me think I really gotta put more effort into getting a car. And.. a permit/license... of course.

I could almost live out of a station wagon. I would probably spend a lot of time in my car. Make a little geek-nest in the back with the seats folded down. Nice large cargo area to make a little fort like thing in. And I already have my portable deep cycle battery, my semi-portable power source. Enough power to give my laptop life for a full 24 hours on a full charge.

I would so totally hack my car. Customize it, find every possible way to get the most out of it to fit my needs and desires. Muhaha.

Well I'd say that about covers it for the weekend recap and this post has gone on about long enough, probably tl;dr worthy.

Tomorrow is a wonderful unknown... I get to be in Bakery! Lame. Originally I was off, but I've said no to being called in a few times lately... I couldn't say no to my boss again. Especially not right now. Not sure he's entirely happy with me for some reason. Gotta score some points whenever I can, so then I can just back off and coast and relax for a while until he gets that yes, I do my job. Just as much or even more than anyone else does...

Out.
